Honey & Hive Products
There's nothing better than raw honey straight from the hive! Many people ask what is raw honey and how is it any different from what I would buy at the grocery store? Raw honey's technical definition is "Honey as it exists in the beehive or as obtained by extraction, settling, or straining; honey that has not been heated above 118* Fahrenheit during production or storage and has not been pasteurized." Not only does it taste great, it has many benefits as well such as natural antioxidants, enzymes, vitamins, and minerals. Raw honey has a full-bodied rich taste influenced by the plants the bees have collected the nectar and pollen from. Honey can promote the growth of good bacteria in the intestines, block free radicals, aid in sleep, counter pollen allergies and sooth the skin. One tablespoon of honey contains 64 calories and has a glycemic load less than that of a banana and will not cause sugar spikes and elevated insulin release like white sugar. We offer honey in it's traditional form and creamed (crystallized). Creamed honey is 100% honey that is about the consistency of peanut butter. Try it on toast and you'll never use butter or jelly again!
